FAQ: Apple Strudel

Fruity is the home of Apple Talk – the BEST strudel in Malaysia with the ORIGINAL recipe from Perth, Australia. We are the only bakery in Malaysia this original recipe.

Our Apple Strudel is packaged in a sturdy box showing our “Apple Talk” logo. We do not have any other packaging for our Apple Strudel.

You can purchase directly from us via this website or by walking into our Klang shop to ensure you are receiving our authentic product. 

Our Apple Strudel is freshly baked every morning and available daily, so we suggest buying it on the day you would like to eat it to ensure the best taste, as the pastry may become less crunchy from absorbing moisture in the air the longer it is kept.

Our Apple Strudel will last for 2 days, but MUST be kept chilled in the fridge at all times.

Yes, our Apple Strudel is a great travel companion, but must be:

  • Hand-carried;
  • Kept in an upright position;
  • Kept out of direct sunlight; and
  • Refrigerated before AND after your journey

If you are travelling long distances, you should place the Apple Strudel in the freezer for up to 2 hours (max) before your journey. This will keep it cold for a longer period. Additionally, you should use a cooler bag or cooler box for the journey. Upon arriving at your destination, immediately place it into the freezer for 1-2 hours before consuming for the best taste. 

If you are collecting the Apple Strudel on the same day as your travel, please inform us when placing your order.

Important Note: Do not allow the Apple Strudel to become completely frozen.

Our Apple Strudel is perfect for sharing between 6 to 8 people, with generous portions each.

You do not need to heat up the Apple Strudel before consumption, as it will cause the cream and custard filling to melt.

Our Apple Strudel should be enjoyed chilled, straight out of the fridge.

Our Apple Strudel is sold as a full loaf, without prior cutting. For a perfect slice, cut using a sharp knife into the size of your choice.

Our Apple Strudel is vegetarian-friendly. It does not contain any meat products – only fresh fruits, dairy, and eggs. 

Our Apple Strudel contains both gluten and dairy products. 

Our shop only sells food that is produced at the highest quality and is edible by our Muslim customers. We use halal-certified ingredients in all our products.

We have plenty of regular Muslim customers and hope you will become one of our new regular customer too. 

At this time, we do not provide writing on our Apple Strudel, but we have a Happy Birthday topper that you can add to your order or we can include a small note (for Klang collection only).

FAQ: Delivery & Shop

We are currently on Maybank’s Sama Sama Lokal MAE app, which has delivery included, so you may order via the app to access their delivery system. 

When ordering directly from our website, as we do not have an in-house delivery service available, you may use your favourite delivery app, like Grab or Lalamove. After placing your order through our website, share a copy of your Fruity receipt with your delivery driver to use as a pick up reference.

Yes, you certainly can! We don’t attach receipts; only a packing list is included, which does not show prices, so the payment side of things stays between us. 

However, please provide the recipient’s contact details in your order notes for our additional reference. 

Our online platform for purchasing our food is through this official Fruity website. You can place an order here. Alternatively, we are also on Maybank’s Sama Sama Lokal MAE app. We are not registered on any other websites or apps other than this. 

Yes, you can walk in to order at our Klang shop while stock lasts. However, for some fast-selling items, such as our Apple Strudel, we always recommend that you order in advance on our website to avoid missing out. You can place an order here.

Alternatively, feel free to call us before visiting to check for availability. 

We only have ONE shop located in Taman Chi Liung, Klang. You can walk in or pre-order for this location 365 days a year.

We also regularly have collaborations with other small businesses as a pick up point. You can check these on our Shop page to see the latest locations.  Kindly note there is no walk in stock available at these pick up points – strictly pre-orders only.

Our current menu is smaller than the one previously offered before the COVID-19 pandemic, but all items are still available and are on rotation periodically.

We are open daily from 10AM until 9PM, including on ALL public holidays – that’s 365 days a year!

However, our business hours may sometimes be affected by government regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Be sure to stay updated on any changes by following us on Facebook and Instagram

These are unprecedented times and we are adapting to the best of our abilities based on advice from qualified medical professionals and health organisations.

On top of our usual high food safety standards that we follow, we have continued to adhere to strict health and hygiene policies, government requirements, and have taken extra precautions to ensure a safe environment on our premises. Our team has been closely monitoring the situation and are staying abreast of the official health and workplace advice provided.

There is currently no evidence that people can catch COVID-19 from food or food packaging. This information comes directly from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and from the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ). You can read more about it here.

FAQ: Cakes

Most of our cakes are available in both 1kg or 2kg sizes. 

If you would like a larger cake, we can certainly custom-make it for you. Please get in touch with us for your order.

Yes, our Blueberry Cheesecake is an egg-free cake.

Yes, we can make customised orders to suit your occasion. Customisations include larger cake sizes, different cake shapes and cake decorations. We work mainly with buttercream and chocolate ganache, so we cannot fulfil orders which require fondant. 

Orders for custom-made cake designs require at least 1 week notice. Get in touch with us for your special order now, or if you have placed an order online and would like to provide us with more details regarding the design, please feel to get in touch with inspirational images and a detailed description. 

Yes, we make a selection of ice-cream cakes.

If it is not shown on our current menu, you may put in a request with a minimum order of 2 ice-cream cakes. Depending on availability and time constraints, we may be able to fulfil your order, so get in touch with us now!

Most of our cakes must be kept refrigerated at all times and can be kept for up to 3 days. 

If there are leftovers, keep the cake fully sealed in an air-tight container in the fridge to prevent it from drying out and from any contamination. However, we always recommend consuming it on the same day for the best taste, as it is freshly baked daily.
